 I’m Matt Gambell. I’m a British film director and game developer currently based in Vancouver, BC.

I’m the director of digital production company GSProductions Ltd.

Founder of independent game studio Skatanic Studios.

I also created Game Dev Guide, a YouTube channel focused on Game Design and Unity Development tutorials.

RPG Tycoon

PC/Mac Game (2016)

A kingdom simulation tycoon game heavily inspired by classic 90’s tycoon games. I began working on RPG Tycoon just before leaving university. Submitting it to Stream Greenlight and getting accepted in 9 days. After almost two years of development, it was released on the 12th February.

What Goes Up

Feature Film (2014)

Writer, Producer, Director, Editing, Visual Effects

Created on a budget of just £3,500 in the summer of 2013, I spent about three months writing, developing, producing and directing a romantic comedy about two video game developers and a fortune telling Rubiks cube.  Principle photography lasted about 3 weeks and the film was premiered in December 2014.
